FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee provides oversight of Stargate’s budgets and financial statements, as well as oversight of the qualifications and independence of the school's independent accounting firm.
About the Group
The Finance Committee works closely with Stargate's Executive Director of Operations to ensure that the finances of the school are in order.
The committee:
Meets regularly (sometimes by phone) to review financial statements and ensure they are in line with budget estimates.
Reviews the annual budget and provides commentary to the Board.
Reviews statements from independent auditors and provides commentary to the Board.
Verifies that the school's actions are in line with financial policies.

The Finance Committee welcomes new volunteers at any time. A financial background and experience with accounting, finance or business management is extremely helpful, but not strictly required. All committee meetings are open to the public. Contact finance@stargateschool.org to learn more.
