High School Flight Crew
Flight Crew is a leadership organization made up of Stargate juniors and seniors who want to make a difference in the first day of school and beyond for our incoming freshman. These upperclassmen are trained to showcase and represent the best of what Stargate offers, make the transition to high school not so scary for our freshman, and to be a mentor and safe person for all to go to. Our trained Flight Crew leaders facilitate the 9th Grade Orientation every August through games, lessons, tours, and more to help freshmen get excited about high school. Most of the games played throughout the day have a "life lesson" that freshmen can take with them and apply to help them find success, while others are just a fun way to make sure everyone knows at least one other person on the first day of school. The success of this program is proven time and time again when our upperclassmen refer back to their first day of freshman year as to why they wanted to be a Flight Crew Leader to begin with.
