Stargate Fall Election 2025:

Turnout: 534 (25.2%) of 2120 electors voted in this ballot

The total number of electors needed to vote in this election to ratify the proposed bylaw amendments was 30%. Although the Bylaw amendments passed, only 27% of electors participated (including both community members and staff), receiving less than the required 30% required. Therefore the proposed Bylaws did not pass. For specific information on the results, community results and staff results.

Thank you to the two School Accountability Committee applicants who ran for the 2 two-year open staff positions. Due to the number of applicants meeting the needs of the open seats, Ms. Kristen Anderson and Dr. Katie Dunn are elected by acclamation via an uncontested election.

Thank you to the six School Accountability Committee applicants who ran for the two-year parent/guardian position. Congratulations to Randi Brazeau who was elected to this position.

SAC Candidate Results

The winning elementary grade with the most votes, who will receive a pizza party is Kindergarten!

The winning middle school grade with the most votes, who will receive a pizza party is 6th grade. More information to come on when this will be!

High school winners of the gift cards will be notified through their parent's email that was used to vote.

A sincere thank you to every parent and guardian who took the time to properly cast their ballot in this election!

General Election Information

The School's Board of Directors and School Accountability Committee are filled by elected positions. Elections are held twice per year to fill any open positions for these groups. Generally, positions for the Board of Directors are filled in the spring, and openings for Accountability are filled in the fall.

Each parent and staff member can vote in Stargate elections but they are only allowed one vote per election (i.e. you cannot vote for each child that you have in Stargate).

The Recruiting Committee is responsible for announcing the election and assembling a list of candidates for open positions.

The Election Committee coordinates the logistics of the election process such as creating the ballot, providing voters with instructions on how to vote, tracking results and announcing the results.

Voting

Stargate elections are conducted in an electronic format only. Ballot instructions and a ballot hyperlink for voting are sent prior to the opening of the election period to the stakeholder email address on file in Infinite Campus. Eligible voters who do not receive a ballot may contact [email protected].

Email Addresses - It is the responsibility of each eligible parent/guardian voter to ensure that their Infinite Campus profile includes a valid, current and unique email address. Contact information should be validated 30 days prior to each election. Ballots can not be sent to an address that is incorrect, obsolete, or shared. Ballot instructions for faculty and staff are sent to their work email address.

Eligible Voters - In Board elections, open seats are voted on by both parents/guardians and Stargate full-time staff members. In School Accountability Committee elections, parent seats are voted on by eligible parent/guardian members of the Stargate Community and staff seats are voted on by eligible staff members of the Stargate Community. In SAC elections, parent/guardian members who are also full-time staff members may vote for both parent and staff seats.

Paperless Voting - Stargate adopted Paperless Voting in Spring 2018. To find out more, check out our FAQ on Paperless Voting.
