Eagles on the Move - 2024-2025

- HOSA Nationals: Congratulations to the Stargate students who were top finalists in Colorado and went on to represent Stargate and Colorado at the HOSA Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference in Nashville in June. Congrats to: Pranav Bandaru, Karlie Chandra, Kaia Dash, Chloe Hartojo, Kinley Hollonds, Finley Houglum, Aubrey Iverson, Sarah Lee, Jerry Lou, Kellen McGilvray, Leah Messenger, Apeksha Mishra, Agnes Mu, Avi Patel, Siri Ponugoti, Sanchaya Rajaraman, Ava Ridgell, Brooklyn Weber, Rachel Weston, and Nora Wu. These students competed with over 14,000 students from across the world, and as usual they brought honor to Stargate and made us so proud.
- Pravav and Avi and Kellen made it to the final round in Creative Problem Solving, and Kaia and Chloe and Sanchi made it to the final round in Medical Innovation! Aubrey and Siri impressed the judges with their fantastic Community Awareness presentation on women's health issues, and Nora and Rachel gave an amazing Health Education presentation on food safety. Leah advanced to the final skills round in Patient Care Technician, and Brooklyn advanced to the final skills round in Pharmacy Science. Jerry and Kinley were recognized on stage for being in the top 10 Internationally for First Aid/CPR. Congratulations to all who competed at this high level! Go Eagles!

- Student Who Cares Award: Congratulations to Stargate 2025 Grad, Suhani Dureja for being awarded the The Student Who Cares Award, by the Colorado Association of School Resource Officers. Retired officer and SRO, Mike Couture nominated Suhani for her extraordinary dedication to school safety and community service.
Suhani had the vision to implement the Red Bag emergency medical response system at Stargate and worked with Officer Couture to transform the idea into reality with her relentless drive and commitment to student safety.Thanks to her leadership, Stargate was able to assemble and distribute 50 medical emergency bags to Northglenn Middle School. Suhani personally led a presentation to over 150 students and staff members, educating them on the significance of the Safe2Tell program and the life-saving potential of these medical kits. Her efforts have directly impacted thousands of students, faculty, and community members, fostering a culture of preparedness and safety.Suhani’s passion, initiative, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others make her a truly deserving recipient of The Student Who Cares Award. She has not only enhanced safety measures within her own school but has also extended her compassion and leadership to the broader community.
- Class of 2025 Graduation: Congratulations to Stargate's Class of 2025! With 114 graduates, this class set the bar high. The Class of 2025 was offered more than $5 million in scholarships; 1 Boettcher Scholar; 2 Daniels Scholars; 1 Military Academy Appointment; 5 National Merit Scholarship candidates; 1 Questbridge Match Scholarship recipient; 5 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program candidates; 39 Seal of Biliteracy awards; 74 Academic awards; 21 Summa Cum Laude; 27 Magna Cum Laude; 26 Cum Laude; 31 13-year Stargate students. Congratulations Class of 2025 and good luck on your next path!




- HS Robotics at World Championship: Congrats to 32092D Sky's the Limit (Jack Bushard, Wyatt Dray, Kyle Lin, Khai Nguyen, Krisha Udeshi) and 32092G Mile High Mechanics (Zach Howe, Gabrielle Hutabarat, Owen Little, Adarsh Shankarling, Tanishka Tiwari) for qualifying for and competing in the World Championship.last week. Out of 9,565 high school teams worldwide only 833 qualified for Worlds.
Special shout out to MIle High Mechanics for their amazing run. They finished 10-0 in division qualification matches and earned the number 1 ranking out of 83 teams in their division. Their qualification record was actually the single best record out of all 833 teams at Worlds and they, along with their Finals alliance partner team from Shanghai China, won their first three playoff matches before getting edged out in finals. Mile High Mechanics also placed 16 out of 833 in individual Skills (driver control and autonomous programming).and won both a Division Finalists Award and a Judges Award for their performance. That puts them in the top half of one percent of all teams in the world.
- Middle School Robotics at 2025 World Championship!: Huge congratulations to teams 32092A Punchin Penguins (Conor Bushard, Alistair Choi, Cooper Krause, Kellen Stevenson) and 32092B 2000iq (Max Ashley, Aarav Goel, John Honadel, Sriman Reddy) for qualifying for and competing in the VEX Robotics World Championship last week! Only 420 middle school IQ teams in the entire world qualified and competed there. Three of those teams were from Colorado, and Stargate students were two of those!Punchin Penguins placed 48th out of 82 teams in their division, while 2000iq finished 64th out of 83. On top of that, 2000iq was recognized as a Judged Awards Finalist and finished an impressive 47th out of 420 teams in the skills competition!Punchin Penguins placed 48th out of 82 teams in their division, while 2000iq finished 64th out of 83. - National History Day: Congratulations to the Stargate National History Day Club as they competed at the Colorado State competition. Mason Owen and Aleks Mitchell placed 2nd in the Senior Group website category. What an accomplishment especially in a new category for them and with this only being a brand new club at Stargate. Way to go Eagles!
- Noetic Math Contest: Huge congrats to our amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who participated in the Noetic Math Contest this year! It's a national contest to fuel a love of math and to show how cool it can be. Our team winners are:

High School Awards Ceremony (grades 9-11) May 5th
On May 5th at 6 p.m., we will hold our high school awards ceremony (grades 9-11) in the gym. Individual students will be recognized, and group photo opportunities will be available. At this event, we will recognize student of the year recipients and club letter winners. Families, please join us in celebrating these student accomplishments over the course of this school year.
Senior Awards Ceremony May 13th - On May 13th, at 6pm we will hold our senior awards ceremony in the gym. At this event, we will recognize student of the year recipients, club letter winners, and Cum Laude honorees. Cum Laude honors will not be finalized until May 12th and students with a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.05 and above will receive recognition. Families, please join us in celebrating these student accomplishments over the course of this school year.
- Battle of the Books District Champs: We are so proud to announce that our 5th grade Battle of the Books team, Radical Readers, with Team Captain Kiyara Mukkamula, Hemani Joshi, Elsa Yu, Prakruti Sanjeev, Alisa Klyha and alternate team member, Siri Bejgum, battled their way through 5 rounds to make it to the last and final round and clinch the District BOB Championship! This is 3 years in a row that Stargate has won! Congrats, Eagles!
- College Athletic Signing Day: Congratulations to the seniors who celebrated College Signing Day! We're so proud of their hard work and dedication—excited to see what they’ll accomplish next!

- Parkour Competition: Jasper Gaborik (9th grade), competed in the WFPF USA Parkour Competition in Colorado Springs. This was the first parkour competition of the season for his parkour team (Flow Vault), and he placed 2nd in the speed round in the young pro division! His podium finish has already qualified him for Nationals, held in Texas in March 2025.

- Knowledge Bowl State Champions: Congratulations to the Stargate High School Knowledge Bowl Team! They are 3A State Champs! The Varsity Team competing at the State Championship included: Jacob Greene, Vincent Stone, Tristan Cao, Nick Hofer, Ryan Marx, Jonathan Bolz, Gregory Waggoner, Prisha Goyal, Jason Bolz, and Leo Fernandez. Way to go Eagles!
- District Honor Choir - 5th Grade: Congratulations to our amazing Stargate 5th grade students: Sadie Badertscher, Sayonee Shah, Adrian Bennett, Ava Messenger, Hadley Starck, and Amaya Kinra. They were part of the Adams 12 District Honor Choir on May 6. There were 200+ students from about 40 elementary schools. Thank you to Mrs. Delavoryas for your musical leadership in the Elementary program. Way to go Eagles!

- Girls Soccer - State Quarterfinals: For the first time in school history, the Stargate HS Girls soccer team advanced all the way to the quarter-finals of the State playoffs, winning their first 2 games of post-season play before falling in the 3rd round. Congratulations on an amazing season! We can't wait for next year! Go Eagles!

- Finalists at VEX Robotics World Championship: Congratulations to 32092G Mile High Mechanics and 32092E Brawling Bananas. Competing against 820 teams at the event, both teams received second interviews and were finalists for Judged awards. Additionally, the Mechanics ranked 47th and the Bananas ranked 162nd in Skills. Their performances at the VEX World Championship capped off a streak of exceptional performances in competitions throughout the year. Way to go Robo Eagles!

- District Battle of the Books Winners: Stargate's Apex Readers team battled their way through six rounds with six different schools to claim 1st place at the Adams 12 District Battle of the Books. Congratulations to this 5th Grade Team: Captain Akshay Paradkar, Isaa Lebsock, Chloe Ostrum, Suhjin Park, James Pradhan, and Sayonee Shah. Thank you to sponsors, Mrs. Vaughan and Ms. McLeod.

2024 National Gold Council of Excellence: The HS Student Council was one of just 21 Colorado student councils selected as a winner of the National Gold Council of Excellence Award. The award is a testament to the highest standards of quality, leadership, innovation, and community engagement that our student council consistently demonstrates in its operation, projects, and activities. NSAC's National Gold Councils of Excellence are the models of quality for which other student councils nationwide should strive to become. The award is the culmination of 5 years of hard work and effort by the amazing students and sponsors, Shelly Krill and Erin Nerz. Way to go Eagles!



- Safe2Tell Gold Star Award: Stargate is the first school in Colorado to achieve Safe2Tell Gold Star status. School safety is a shared priority, and Safe2Tell wants to acknowledge the work being done in Colorado schools pertaining to Safe2Tell education and outreach for their students, staff and communities. The Colorado Attorney General, Phil Weiser, presented the award along with the Safe2Tell Colorado team, Adams 12 Board of Education. Thornton Police, Stargate Governance Board and several Stargate community members and students. Thank you to everyone who made this achievement possible and for helping keep our students safe.
