Fundraising
Every gift to Stargate, no matter the amount, is important and greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Why Is Fundraising Necessary?
At a time when many schools are cutting back, the Stargate community remains committed to giving our students meaningful opportunities to explore, discover and grow – both inside and outside the classroom. To make those unique opportunities possible, community members are expected to, when possible, support the school financially. As a Charter school, Stargate does not generally receive a full proportionate share of property taxes/bond election funds and - unlike District schools - must fund its facilities from operating revenues. As a result, Stargate, like other Charter schools looks to alternative revenue sources, including annual fundraising campaigns, to supplement needs that fall outside of the annual operating budget. To read more, visit our Charter School Finance 101 page.
"Leave Your Legacy" Brick Campaign
Our brick program, which was revised at the Gala 2025, is a special way for you to be a part of building something lasting in our school community. When you "buy a brick", you are not just making a donation, you're leaving your mark on the campus. These engraved bricks will become part of our new Quad after construction, creating a pathway filled with stories, memories, and love.
Sales are closed. Final number of bricks sold is = 150! These new bricks will be placed in the Quad in the summer 2026.
Thank you to everyone who are leaving their legacy at Stargate!
Gala 2025
Stargate's First Annual Stargate Reach for the Stars Gala and Silent Auction was a great success bringing the community together to revive this beloved yearly event with many of the tried and true crowd pleasers, including Teacher Adventures and Classroom Baskets for the Silent Auction.
Thanks to you, we raised over $55,000! Once construction is complete, you will see the results of the fundraising put to work with furnishing the library, the new gym, new recess equipment and more!
Thank you to the volunteer Gala Committee for many hours of dedication to make this a success!

If you’re interested in helping with a specific event or have some fundraising ideas, please contact the Fundraising Committee at [email protected].
Fundraising Allocation Process
A committee of Stargate volunteers and staff oversees an internal request process for distribution of funds raised through the Fundraising Committee and allocated for disbursal each year by the Governance Board. Visit the Fundraising Allocation Committee page to submit a request for funds, to learn more about the allocation process or to get involved with the group.
Stargate Giving Platform
Your tax-deductible gifts help make up the difference between district and state funding allocations and the actual cost of running the school. It’s just one way that we help maintain Stargate’s strong financial position. You can:
- make a secure online gift
- mail a check - Stargate School, 14530 Washington Street Thornton, CO 80023
- contact Accounting at 303-450-3936 to make a gift
Employer Match
Many employers match donations. Last year, we received more than $7,000 through matching donations. If you aren't sure if your employer matches gifts, contact your HR or benefits group.
