What We Have Been Doing
Math-
Last week for Math we measured objects based on our own feet. We compared the size of our feet to the standard 12 inch foot measurement. I began measuring the student's heights and comparing the measurements to our September heights. They are truly growing! WOW!
This week we will make a mini book about measurements. We will also do a follow the directions activity for Thanksgiving.
Theme-
Last week in Theme we learned about Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. We also created a Native American story using pictures. The stories will be hung around the classroom for the next couple of weeks. This week we will talk about Neptune and Uranus. We will also learn about the first Thanksgiving.
Book Fair
The book fair will be open on December 3- 7. This will be a wonderful opportunity to see the Scholastic books.
On a personal note...
I have wonderful news. My boyfriend, Ryan, proposed on Saturday. I am so happy! It looks like I will be married by the end of next summer. No more Miss Sneeuwjagt. I will be Mrs. Lambrecht. I wanted to share the news with all of you.
