What We Have Been Doing

Math- Last week we worked with calculators. We learned how to count by ones, twos, tens, and fives with the calculator. This week we will work with measurement and time. We will also play with money.

Theme- We will study the moon phases this week. We will also learn about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. We will discuss why Pluto is no longer called a planet. We will also do some Native American Activities and learn about the first Thanksgiving.

Book Orders

Remember that book orders are due on Friday, November 16. There are some fun Holiday books in the catalogs this week.

Moon Madness

On November 27, the Museum of Nature and Science will come in to the Kindergarten classrooms and teach the students about the moon. The program is called Moon Madness. They will come in to the classrooms one more time in the Spring to teach us about another science unit. We can't wait to do the fun activities!

Thank you!

Thank you to all who donated to our classroom baskets for the Gala! I heard that one of our baskets made $600 for the school! Woo Hoo! It was great to see some of you there. Thanks for you time and support for this fundraising event.

Thanksgiving

Please remember that there will be no school on Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Friday Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving break.

I hope you all have a great week!
