What We Have Been Doing
Math- We have been exploring what pennies, nickels and dimes look like. The students also learned how to use a geometric stencil. They made pictures by putting shapes together. We are also learning how to measure using our bodies.
 
Literacy- We are working in reading groups now. There will be no homework or spelling this week due to conferences.
 
Theme- We will share our family crests with the class this week. We are also beginning to learn about the human body.
 
 
Conferences- Wednesday dismissal is at 11:30am, morning Kindergarten will leave at their regular time at 11:00am. No school on Thursday or Friday this week. I am looking forward to seeing you at your scheduled conference.
 
Family Crest- Family Crest projects are due today. If you still need time, please turn them in on Tuesday.
 
 
Yogurt lids- The school is collecting pink Yoplait yogurt lids to raise money for breast cancer research.
 

Specials- Specials will not change this week. We will start PE and computers on Monday, October 6.

Vision and Hearing Screening- Tuesday morning, September 30, the students will be screened for vision and hearing. If we have any concerns about your child, we will let you know.
