Parents of 8th graders need to know that the secondary deadline for the Adams 12 Choice process is March 14. This is for choosing a High School different than your regular 'home' or boundary school. The Choice forms are available at Adams12.org, by searching for "Choice process" or in Mrs. Amos' office. They are to be competed and returned to the Adams 12 administration building- the address is on the form. Once you have completed and turned in the Choice form, the district will notify you of what school you have been assigned to. This then becomes the 'home' or boundary school for the rest of high school. To change schools again, even back to your original 'home' or boundary school requires going through the Choice process again for the following year. You should be aware that most of the Adams 12 high schools are not accepting Choice students other than in 9th grade, so the chances of switching after 9th grade are not good, unless there are extentuating circumstances.
