A SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) parent discussion group will be starting soon.  This is a seven week group, meeting on Wednesday nights, starting Oct 22, from 6:30-8:00.  We will discuss characteristics of the gifted, motivation issues, underachievement, perfectionism, idependence, uniqueness, sensitivity, educational needs, parent and sibling relationships, and when to seek professional help.  This class helps parents gain a better understanding of their gifted children and provides tools to work with them more effectively.  It also provides a forum for sharing experiences with other parents of gifted children.  The result is more confidence and responsiveness for parents, validation and support for children, and a happier and better connected family!

See the registration form below in Documents. We have met once, but if you wish to join, you still can. There is a total of 7 weeks, with 6 ... Read More »

The 8th graders will be attending the Adams County Commissioners Career Expo on November 18 at the Denver Merchandise Mart.  About 5000 8th graders from all over Adams County will get an opportunity to speak with business and education leaders about careers that interest them. There will be over 100 presenters, so this will be a great opportunity for our students!  Students are asked to wear nice clothes so they can represent our school well. Mrs. Amos has been helping the 8th graders do a career cluster inventory to help them decide where their career interests lie, and who they would like to go visit at the Career Expo!
