A SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) parent discussion group will be starting soon. This is a seven week group, meeting on Wednesday nights, starting Oct 22, from 6:30-8:00. We will discuss characteristics of the gifted, motivation issues, underachievement, perfectionism, idependence, uniqueness, sensitivity, educational needs, parent and sibling relationships, and when to seek professional help. This class helps parents gain a better understanding of their gifted children and provides tools to work with them more effectively. It also provides a forum for sharing experiences with other parents of gifted children. The result is more confidence and responsiveness for parents, validation and support for children, and a happier and better connected family!
See the registration form below in Documents. We have met once, but if you wish to join, you still can. There is a total of 7 weeks, with 6 weeks remaining. For more information, call Meril Amos or Valicia McPherson.
