Middle School Math, November 05 - 09
Geometry
This week in Geometry we will conclude chapter 4: Lines and Angle Properties and test our understanding on the subject and concepts. The concluding topics in this chapter include: equations of lines, intersection of lines and geometric probability. Prior to the test, I will give the students quizzes.
College Prep Algebra
This week in College Prep Algebra the student take a test on Chapter 3. The covered include quadratic functions, families of equations and their graphs, the distributive property and exponents. The class will begin chapter 4 and begin writing mathematical equations from word problems.
Integrated Algebra
This week in Integrated Algebra we begin chapter four where our learning objectives are to:
· write algebraic expressions and equations with variables
· develop an understanding of the distributive property
· evaluate algebraic expressions
· combine like terms
· review order of operations by means of grouping terms
Pre Algebra II
This week in Pre Algebra II we explore geometry. The students will learn some vocabulary of geometry related to lines, angles and polygons and will develop and use formulas to find the areas of rectangles, parallelograms, triangles and trapezoids.
