Geometry
This week in Geometry we will finish chapter 3 and test over this material. The Objective for this unit is for the students to understand and complete accurate geometric constructions using only a compass and straight edge. Our next unit of study is Line and Angle Properties. The students’ geometry curriculum is supplemented with a constant algebra review.
College Prep Algebra
This week in College Prep Algebra our objective is for the students to understand how to write a rule for a linear function and how to graph and compare linear and quadratic functions. Additionally I will continue to present square roots and exponents.
Integrated Algebra
This week in Integrated Algebra we continue our chapter three study. We are investigation mathematical probability including the combined probability of independent events using rectangular area models. This method builds a better understanding of addition and multiplication of fractions. We week we will also review the relationship among fractions, decimals and percents.
Pre Algebra II
This week in Pre Algebra II our study in chapter 3 includes
- Word problems
- Order of operations
- Writing a numerical expression from a verbal expression
- Number Theory: Positive and negative Integer computations
Additionally the class will assess their understanding with a comprehensive quiz.
