Geometry

This week in Geometry we review and assess our knowledge of chapter one – Inductive Reasoning.  With the remainder of the week we begin Chapter 2 titled: Introducing Geometry which introduces the basic relationships of plane geometry.

College Prep Algebra

This week in College Prep Algebra we are in the middle of unit one: The Difference of Squares, Organizing Data.  Our objectives this week are to use guess and check tables to organize solutions to word problems, to explore and describe special number patterns, to combine like terms to simplify expressions and to use Guess and Check tables to organize information.

Integrated Algebra

This week in Integrated Algebra we near the completion of unit one: Getting organized: Data Interpretation.  We are organizing and interpreting data using a variety of methods and using Guess and Check tables to organize the solution for word problems.

This week our daily learning objectives are

  •  To formalize the definition of measure of central tendency
  • To organize and interpret data in a scatter plot
  • To summarize the key concepts of the chapter
  • To construct and interpret a double-line graph and analyze trends depicted in the line graph

Pre Algebra II

This week in Pre Algebra II we will complete chapter one and assess our knowledge of the concepts. Our learning objectives in this chapter are:

  • Find sums with positive and negative integers
  • Determine which number makes an equation true
  • Scale the axes of graphs
  • Determine the measures of central tendency (mode, median, mean) for a set of data
  • Display data in a stem and leaf plot
  • Summarize the main ideas from the chapter
