Geometry
This week in Geometry we continue to use inductive reasoning to find terms in a sequence. We will shift from finding the next term to finding any term (the nth term) in the sequence. Our focus includes the sequence of number patterns, figurative number patterns and to finding patterns in geometric shapes.
College Prep Algebra
This week in College Prep Algebra we continue to deepen our understanding of integer addition and subtraction using tiles as a numerical manipulative. Additionally we work to interpret graphs, geometric areas, scientific notation and multiplication and division computations of integers.
Integrated Algebra
This week in Integrated Algebra we continue unit one: Getting organized: Data Interpretation. Our primary objectives for this unit are to organizing data, to visualize, display and interpret data using a variety of methods including scatter plots, line graphs, bar graphs, stem and leaf plots and box and whisker plots and to use Guess and Check tables to organize the solution for word problems.
Our daily objectives are:
to practice using Guess and Check table to determine solutions to word problems
to organize data using stem and leaf plots
to display data in a box and whisker plot and identify the quartiles in a set of data
Pre Algebra II
This week in Pre Algebra II we continue our work in chapter one: Algebra Rocks. We will continue our practice of positive and negative integer computations, fractions and percents. We will work with data sets to understand mean, median and mode. Our work with graphs involves scaling axes. Additionally we will explore the concept of a variable as they use problem solving strategies on equations.
Pre Algebra I
This week in Pre Algebra I we work to further our understanding of positive and negative integer computations, fractions and percents.
Additionally our daily objectives include
to make a stem and leaf plot and find the median and mode of a data set
to explore the concept of a variable as they use problem solving strategies on equations
to practice using number lines and scaling axes
