Well, we all made it through the first week in pretty good shape. Thank you to everyone for being so helpful and understanding!
This week we are going to start digging in with both hands. Monday we are going to create covers for our workbooks that represent us, and then we will spend the rest of the week learning about different historical experts, cave paintings and early tools, and early hominids. There will be homework assignments this week, so be prepared and check back here often for updates! As the year goes on, homework will be posted here either daily or at the beginning of the week.
Monday: Finish covering workbooks, complete WB page 9. If you run out of room for writing your paragraph, insert a sheet of lined paper. (Second period: Don't do page 9).
Tuesday: Define BLUE words from Chapter One. Answer the following questions: 1. What is the major difference in studying the "recent" past (the last few thousand years) and pre-history? 2. Why do researchers think cave paintings were made of animals, handprints and geometric shapes? 3. Describe some of the tools used by pre-historic people.
Quiz Friday on Chapter One.
