Monday October 8th - Students watched the last scene of the movie Glory and discussed it. You may want to ask your son/daughter about the movie, the students seemed to get a lot out of it and their understanding of the Civil War is much deeper.
I assigned Chapter 11's homework that is due on Tuesday October 16th. See the attached document below for an explanation of the assignment.
Tuesday October 9th - Students will be working on their Civil War dramatizations. This is a group project that is explained in a document below. Presentations will be the week after team building.
Wednesday October 10th - 12th Ms. Posateri will be meeting with parents to discuss student progress. Expect to see power school updated over the next 48 hours as I prepare for conferences.
Monday October 15th - No School for Students this is a teacher work day.
Tuesday October 16th - Homework for Chapter 11 and dramatizations are due.
Note to Parents: I will not be assigning homework the week of team building. Students will need the weekend to recover from the trip! Also, as a heads up, the Era 1 test is currently scheduled for Friday November 2nd. I may need to push that into the next week, but for now that is our target date.
