Hello again! Ths week has a number of endings and beginnings of which to be aware. First, we'll begin with our vocabulary test on "ab or a" words this Monday, followed by an introduction to this week's words. (Flashcards will be due on Wednesday, and the test on Friday.) Also, please be aware that students' reading projects are due in class on Tuesday, May 6. This week will also bring the beginning of our new MUGS unit, the sentence. Concepts to be studied include sentence structure, types of sentences, sentence diagramming and punctuation. On Tuesday, we will introduce our newest writing project, the poetry journal. Please look for further information regarding this project on the website later in the week! We will also begin some Edgar Allen Poe readings, using his work to emphasis poetic devices, as well as examining the structure and form of some of his short stories. Please check the calendar for any of the week's homework updates.
Have a great week!
