LANGUAGE ARTS: This week, we will to work in Literature Circles. Students will learn about the important jobs and roles they will take on as members of small groups. Please note that students need to have their assigned book available each day. We will also have a vocabulary packet this week, due on Friday. It is on the root word "gen" which means birth or origin. I have moved our Vocabulary quiz from this Friday the 8th to February 14th. The quiz will be matching, covering the 50 words we have studied so far this year.
MATH: We will continue to work on Module 5 concepts. Students will have homework on Monday and Tuesday this week. We will also begin a group problem-solving project later this week.
THEME: We are having a great time learning about the circulatory system. We will also talk about how the Revolutionary War ended, and what it meant for a new nation. I am working on setting up a blood typing activity for class next week. Tiffany Boyd, classroom parent and RN will be assisting with this. Details will come home later this week, along with a permission slip.
