We’ll continue to work with early explorers and oceanography. As always, if you have any background or knowledge in these areas, please contact me as I always welcome parent participation in my class! Speaking of parents…A huge thank you to our parent volunteers for the Planetarium field trip! Also, a great thank you to all the parents who helped make our winter party excellent! All the kids said our class had the best snacks, quite an accomplishment considering the competition!

Welcome to the second trimester curriculum. We’ll begin looking at early explorers in Social Studies and connect that to oceanography in Science as these early explorers had to have a great understanding of the sea.

Last week we were FINALLY able to plant our potato farm and learn about plate tectonics using peanut better and jelly! We’ll be moving into earthquake and volcano curriculum followed by our study of biomes! I will not be in on Monday or Tuesday as I am attending the Colorado Conference for Gifted Students.
Please send me an e-mail or give a phone call if you would like to volunteer at our Halloween party. In the past, parent volunteers have played a vital role in creating fun game for the students during the party, if this sounds good to you, let me know!
