¡Lo que pasa en las clases de español (What’s happening in Spanish classes)!
For K-4, this is the last week of Spanish until January. I have had a lot of fun with these classes and will miss them as they move on to their next specials.
Kindergarten – We have class on Monday and Tuesday of this week and we will be reviewing the things we’ve been working on this session (greetings, numbers, the alphabet, animal descriptions and colors). We will also be finishing up any coloring sheets that aren’t yet finished.
1/2s – We are making “luminarias” in class. Luminarias are lanterns made out of paper bags that people in Hispanic countries and in some areas of the USA use to light sidewalks and pathways. They help guide visitors to parties and other celebrations.
3/4s – Handmade paper flowers are part of any celebration in Mexico so we are making them in class this week. These students are so create and I expect them to be beautiful!
5/6s – We’re taking a break from our mini-stories this week and will be making traditional Mexican yarn paintings.
I hope to visit with a lot of you at conferences!
