Last Wednesday I had surgery to have a metal plate removed from my arm. The plate was put in my arm in December of 2006 when I severely fractured my left humerus during my first attempt at snowboarding. The surgery took almost 2 hours due to the scar tissue surrounding the bone and plate. I was able to leave the hospital Wednesday evening. I am recovering well, and already almost have full use of my arm! However, my energy level is very low as all of my energy seems to be going towards healing my arm! I am hoping to be relatively back to normal, energy-wise, after conferences. I will definitely be healed and ready for ski season to begin in November! Thanks to all of you that sent positive thoughts and help my way! Any extra volunteer help in the classroom would be greatly appreciated over the next few weeks! Please email me and let me know if you can come in!
