We have made it! This is my last newsletter of the year and, I fear, one of the hardest I will write. It is time to say goodbye to a wonderful group of fourth graders who have amazed me, made me laugh, made me think and, will, inevitably make me cry when I have to say goodbye to them on Thursday. I look forward to the wonderful things they will accomplish in their futures and I hope they always remember to stop and say hello.
As we say goodbye, we also say hello to a new group of leaders. I know my third graders are ready for their new role in my classroom. I am excited for next year and know that they will do a fabulous job as ambassadors to the upcoming third graders!
Thank you all for everything you have done this year and for the support you've given me and our class. It takes everyone to make a year great and I think we did a FABULOUS job this year! So, here is to a wonderful last two days, a fantastic summer and a great upcoming school year! I hope you all have a safe, relaxing and very fun summer!!!
Mrs. Zelinger Cohen
Parents!!! Please join us for our state fair, Tuesday, May 25th from 8:30 am -10:00 am and from 10:30 am - 11:30 am!
In the spirit of field day, students are encouraged to wear their favorite sports apparel all week. This includes both professional and college teams!
Field day is coming up on Wednesday, May 26th. Our theme this year is centered around the World Cup. There will be various sports stations for the students. The kitchen will be closed so please bring a sack lunch. We will be outside for most of the day so please also make sure your student has water, sunscreen and a hat. Students are encouraged to wear soccer or any other sports gear.
We will be having an end of the year party this year. Please read the following note from Mrs. Painter and let us know if you can help. I need to let the front office know who my volunteers are ASAP so please let me know if you are willing to help out on that day. Thank you so much!!!
It is time for the end-of-year party. The party will be on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:30. We could use some help with the food for the party. Please let me know if you are able to contribute something. Also, if you are able to help at the party, let Mrs. Zelinger Cohen know. For the Hawaiian party we need:
Fruit kabobs or fruit salad
punch (not juice boxes)
muffins or pastry
sweet/dessert item (cookies, cupcakes, etc.)
Since the party is right before lunch, we will try not to over-feed the students.
Thank you for any help,
Tiffany Painter
