Joyce Bustamante is Colorado native, born and raised in Pueblo. Her education spans the Pueblo School District K-12. Joyce then went to college in Pueblo which was, at that time, Southern Colorado State College, receiving her degree in Math/Science for the Elementary Teacher. She has taught grades 2-8 in both public and private schools. The last thirteen years Mrs. Bustamante has been teaching at Stargate. This brings her total years of teaching to thirty. She is married and has a son and daughter plus two granddaughters. In her spare time, Joyce loves to read and crochet; traveling all over Colorado is something else she likes to do. This helps her add to the Colorado History curriculum and to make it more interesting.
