Mrs. B. Newsletter Homeroom

• Continue to learn upper case cursive letters. Will continue this week with rest of alphabet.
• Finished a map project with legend and directions.  Will start our Treasure Island map project this week.
• Took notes on layers of atmosphere, drew a model of atmosphere layers, and did an experiment on the area covered by direct sunlight verses slanted sunlight.
• Quiz over layers of atmosphere using their notes.
• Weather permitting we will begin to use a thermometer to measure direct verses slanted sunlight.  Reading a thermometer and learning about Anders Celsius, Daniel Fahrenheit, and Galileo.
• Explore wind, wind speed using the Beaufort Scale, and clouds.
• Conference request sent home on Monday, October 1.
