Mrs. Bustamante Newsletter – October 6
- The week of conferences we finished several pages in our My Colorado book. I checked the book and sent home any unfinished pages on October 1. They should be returned today.
- The class had fun with my riddles of towns of Colorado and finding them on a grid map.
- We have been talking about observation and inference in relation to how archaeologists learn things about the ancient people.
- I am reading aloud now the book called Journey to Center Place by Viola Gates. This book helps the children understand more about the ancient people.
- We will continue Explore Colorado with chapter two and an activity on classification.
- I will have the students conducting more experiments on water. They now have all the “facts” about water and I want them to use those facts and form a better hypothesis.
