The Valentine's Party is this Thursday. A class list was sent home last week and is available on my webpage.

Valentine's Day is coming soon as so is our class Valentine Party.  If your child is bringing valentines to share, he/she must bring one for every student in the class.  If you did not sign up, but would like to help out at the party, please email Lori Bender ( lori.bender@comcast.net) as soon as possible.   If your child would like to decorate a box at home and bring it in, that would be fine.   Otherwise I will l provide students with a brown paper bag for collecting Valentines.  I will be sending home a class list in the Weekly Folder and you can find the list on my webpage.

This week is our 3/4 school store!  Students will bring in their products to sell on Wednesday, December 19.  On Thurday, between 8:30 - 10:00, parents are allowed to come and shop.  Please see me for some spending money.

Our class party is this Friday, December 21 from 1:30 - 3:00.  If you would like to help with the party or send in snacks, email Lori Bender at lori.bender@comcast.net

Homework: Finding Product Cost was assigned on Tuesday and is due this Friday, Dec. 7.

Also, students are beginning a currency research project where they need to find information about another country's currency and bring it to class on Friday, December 14.  They need to find the following information: *the name of the basic unit of currency of the country *The exchange rate with the American dollar (one American dollar is worth how many of this basic unit?) *Any other interesting information about the currency (pictures, symbols, etc.)

The kids in room 220 have been very busy and excited as they prepare for their Stargate 3/4 stores where they will sell their own home-made products!  They have been working on creating their store fronts, business cards and product designs.  This week we will continue our study of economics and further prepare for the big sale to be held on Dec. 19 and 20.
