Our class has earned a reward! The students have decided that they would like to come to school in their pjs! They may also bring pillows and sleeping bags to relax on as we watch the movie Ratatouille - Rated G, during theme time on Friday. We thought this would be a fun, rewarding way to begin our economics unit as the main character, Remy, dreams of becoming one of France's best chefs...what an entrepreneur;) Feel free to send your child to school with drinks or snacks to share!

It is that time again! The Stargate Gala will take place Nov. 10th at the Ramada Inn. One of the school’s biggest (and most fun) fundraisers is the silent auction and the gala. Each class donates items for a gift basket to enter in the silent auction. Our theme this year is SPORTS. Any items that reflect any sport would be great! Donations need to be in by the end of the month - Please do not wait until the last minute. It is difficult to plan and arrange the baskets when we don’t know what is going in it. I have some suggestions listed on the following page. Please feel free to deviate from the list if you have something else in mind. A poster will also be on the front door of the classroom to promote the basket. If you have a donation that doesn’t fit our theme, no problem! We’ll take it to auction by itself, or place in a mini basket with a different theme. Just bring your items to the classroom and I will arrange them in a basket. Short on cash? Don&rsq ...

Well, we survived the first week back. Our week consisted of ERB testing, reviewing classroom procedures, organizing supplies, creating classroom rules, and getting to know each other. It was a busy week.
This week (9/4) we will continue assessing students in reading, writing, and math. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and eats breakfast.
