The school year is off to a great start! The students have done a wonderful job adjusting to school life. They’ve been working hard on the ERB tests. These tests are “a way to develop and promote educationally helpful methods of measuring the academic progress of the students and effectiveness of our academic programs.”
We’ve also started our year long study of Colorado history in social studies. We watched a video about our state and completed a “scavenger hunt” in our Colorado history textbooks.
In science, our first unit of study is on water. It includes the properties of water, water distribution, the water cycle, and much more.
We’ve had one homework assignment this week due to ERB testing. We’ll be assessing the students next week to determine which needs based groups they’ll be in. (There won’t be much homework.) We hope to have the literacy and math groups figured out after Labor Day.
