Don’t forget to send in your RSVP for Stargate’s Denim and Diamond’s Gala which will be held on Saturday, November 10th! This year our class will sponsor two baskets: a Starbuck’s Coffee Break and Let’s Play sports basket. Information about donation suggestions were sent home in last week’s folder and are posted on my webpage. Please send in all donations by Friday, November 2nd if possible!
I have been reading the book, Mathilda by Roald Dahl, for read aloud. We just finished it last week. As a celebration of the many compliment parties our class has earned, I have decided to have a “Pajama Day/Pizza Party” for our class. On Friday, November 2nd our class may wear their PJ’s to school- as long as they are within dress code standards- and we will watch the film “Mathilda” during lunchtime and Theme. Students do not need to bring a lunch as pizza will be provided. As the 2nd is also picture retake day, if you are planning on having your child take retakes, please keep this in mind and send a change of clothes if necessary!
Please don’t forget to send your child with a snack on Wednesdays. Due to our Early Release Schedule, we go directly from Literacy to Math and are not in homeroom for snack time. Thank you for all the snack donations! The kids were really excited about them!
Due to copyright law, we will no longer be able to post actual assignments to our webpages. If your child misplaces their homework, they will have to get a copy from their teacher.
Theme:
This week we will begin our Forces, Motion, and Balance Unit. We will take a pretest, then begin to discuss and define concepts such as force, balance, motion, and gravity. We will be taking a field trip to Pump It Up next week to explore some of these concepts in action.
