What's Happening in our Homeroom:
A big thanks to Andrew Ferraro and his family for bringing in their relatives from Norway last Wednesday! Our class really enjoyed interviewing them! Also a huge thanks to the Colt Shelby and his family for bringing in Philippine Egg Rolls made by his mom and grandma! The kids loved them!
This week in Theme, we will finish our Family Unit. We will have a Family/Ancestor Day next Wednesday , October 10th as a culminating activity. Students are encouraged to invite family members to come in, to dress in their country’s traditional clothing, and bring a sample of food from their country of origin. Parents, please email me and let me know what family members plan to attend, as well as any food that will be brought. I will post the exact time of the event on my calendar and webpage. We look forward to seeing you there!
Once again, our class earned another compliment party! We are doing a great job of meeting our set goal of one compliment party per week! Way to go!!
Stargate’s monthly Parent Staff Council (PSC) meeting is this Thursday! Please plan to attend. Guest speaker, Greg Richards will be there to discuss teasing and bullying in schools. PSC meetings are one Thursday a month, from 6:15-8:00pm , and babysitting is provided for free!
This week is our last week of the first six week rotation for specials. Next week we will begin our next rotation which includes P.E. (A Day) and General Music (B Day).
What's Happening in Theme Class:
Last week we designed a Family Crest which included information about our family and our ancestors. This week we will finish researching our family and begin to share what we have learned. We will have a Family/Ancestor Day next Wednesday.
