Heilbron's Highlights

Please make sure your child is bringing a healthy morning snack if they want one. We have a snack/recess every day, except Wednesday when we just have snack. Thanks to parent donations, I provide snacks for students that have forgotten their own. I will send a request for snacks in my newsletter when we are running low. Individually packaged snacks are usually easiest to distribute!
We have two classmates with September birthdays! In the past we have celebrated birthdays right after lunch/recess, during DEAR time. Students usually bring in treats to celebrate their special day. If a student’s birthday was in the summer, we will celebrate it on their half-birthday. Please let me know in advance whether or not your child will be celebrating their birthday at school!
This week we will continue with assessments and hope to be ready to begin switching for Literacy and Math next week. All volunteer and curriculum information will be addressed on Curriculum Night, Tuesday, September 18th, please plan to attend!
Theme:
We will spend this week continuing to get to know one another as well as the other 1-2 classes. On Friday we got to do an activity with Ms. Bryant’s class. This week we will meet with the other four classes. We will also begin our Friendship Unit. Homework will be the Student Questionnaire, due Friday.
