This Week's Highlights:
You should receive a Fall Conferences Request Form in today’s Monday Folder. Please return it to your child’s homeroom teacher no later than Thursday, Sept. 25th so that we can schedule next week’s conferences. Conferences are scheduled on a first come first served basis. Keep in mind we are trying to coordinate conferences for our 140 first and second graders as well as siblings!
I will be out Wednesday, Sept. 24th through Friday, Sept. 26th. I am finally having the plate in my left arm removed! Surgery will be on Wednesday and hopefully I will be recovered by Monday and able to return to school. I will be keeping Mrs. Kuhn informed of my progress.
This Week's Assignments:
This week we continue our Communities and Neighborhoods Unit and Mapping. This week we will discuss our community and the businesses that we want vs. need, discuss goods vs. services and produce vs. consume. Each Wednesday for the next five weeks, we will have Mr. Cramer, a volunteer from Jr. Achievement, come to our class for a fun community based activity. For more info please visit www.jacolorado.org!
Homework: Business Project Due Monday , Oct. 6th.
Questions and Concerns:
If you have any questions or concerns for me, the best way to reach me is via email: Kristin.heilbron@adams12.org, or phone: (303) 450-3936 Ext. 155. It is hard for me to communicate at drop-off and dismissal as my primary concern is for the safety and well-being of your child. Please call or email and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours!
Thank you Students!
Thank you to Wolf L. for doing such a nice job at clean-up time, Brycen H. for helping friends in need, and Lauren K. for coming in to class everyday! :)
