Thanks so much for the notes , activities, and gifts I received for Teacher Appreciation Week last week. It was much appreciated and very kind. There is no place I’d rather be.
Reminder: Insect Projects will be due on the date of your child’s presentation. Presentations will be the week of May 27th- June 3rd. Sign-ups will be sent home next week.
The 1/2 Team’s para, Mrs. W. will be retiring at the end of this school year. To celebrate her many years of dedication and hard work to Stargate, it’s staff and students, we will be having a surprise retirement party for her on Wednesday, May 21st at 12:30pm. We are planning to have each 1st and 2nd grade student present her with a flower and a card at the party, so we are in need of a parent volunteer from each homeroom to be in charge of purchasing at least 24 flowers, a bouquet, their student’s homeroom. We are also collecting money donations to contribute to a gift for Mrs. W. Anything that you can donate will be appreciated to show Mrs. W. what she means to us and how much she will be missed! Please send any donations in with your student., care of Ms. Heilbron.
What’s Happening in Theme?
This week we will continue to observe our butterfly and moth which are in their chysallis stage about to become adults! We will also continue to research our insect and work on highlighting, note taking, and paragraph writing in class.
Homework: Work on the visuals for your insect project: 3-D Model and Poster Board. Have your research notes highlighted to show to Ms. Heilbron on Friday, May 16th.
