Bryant’s Business
Ms. Bryant September 8, 2008
What is going on in theme (homeroom) this week?
Today we are going to do a small activity in theme and the rest of the time will be geared toward catching up on any unfinished work. Tuesday we will begin our next theme unit which is maps and communities. It is one of my favorites! We’ll start out learning the important attributes a map needs, learning to read maps, and then making our own!
You should find your child’s placements for math and literacy in the Monday Folder. Please bring these with you on Curriculum Night so that you will know which classes to visit. Please keep in mind that we will be observing and switching students if we see the need throughout the next couple of weeks.

VOLUNTEERING-
Due to our class being lucky enough to have a student teacher this first half of the year, I will not be using classroom volunteers. However, I will still need volunteers to do some things at home for me, field trips and our class parties. Throughout the school there are also a lot of volunteer opportunities. Such as, your child’s Math/Lit. classes and helping in the library. I appreciate your understanding on this, as Miss Russo needs to complete a certain amount of time to teaching to earn her teaching license.
