Switching Soon

Testing is taking a wee bit longer this year and thus we will start switching no later than Wednesday.  When we do start switching we will let you know with a note home that day!  Thank you for your patience!

Ebooks Due Tuesday, the 11th

The first week of school we sent home a packet with an E-book for our annual fundraising campaign.  If you will not be selling any E-books, please send the packet back with the E-book enclosed.  If you choose to sell the E-books, please make sure to send the packet back with the proper money enclosed.  You can sell the enclosed book too or send it back.  Just make sure to note it on the order form if you sold it.

Share Days

Don't forget this week we start share days on Tuesday (last names A-La) and on Thursday (Le-Z).  Make sure to refer to last weeks newsletter on the specifics

Parties and Birthdays

This week we are celebrating two birthdays, having a farewell party for one student, and having our first Marble Party celebration.  On Monday and Wednesday will be our birthday celebrations before lunch/recess during group time.  On Tuesday, during theme time we will be wishing our friend Shika a found farewell.  Her and her family will be moving back east and we will miss them all very dearly.  On Friday we will have our first marble party due to filling our marble jar with all our excellent behavior.  Students can wear their pajamas (still following dress code of course) and bring a pillow or their favorite stuffed animal.  We will have our celebration during lunch/recess and Theme time.  Congratulations class!

Weekly Theme Update

This week we will finish up our friendship unit.  Last week we learned about what it is to be a friend and how important it is to be a good friend.  We will wrap up the unit with some great friendship activities to bring us even closer!

Chik-Fil-A Night a hit!!!

IDid you know the class that has the most in attendance at Chick-Fil-A Fundraising night wins a party?  I don't know who last week's winner is yet.  It was very nice to see many of you at Chick-Fil-A Fundraising Night last Wednesday.  I was really excited to see everyone and to have a night off from cooking.  I will update you when the next Chick-Fil-A Funraiser Night is.  Hope to see you there!

Quality Versus Completion
Every morning we do a morning handwriting warm up to help us get focused for the day.  The activity is to bring focus to our handwriting and to take our time.  Right now, I am in the process of reprogramming them from thinking completion is not what I am looking for, that I am looking for quality.  You will see these handwriting sheets coming home today that will demonstrate if they are being focused and producing quality or rushing and thus messy work.  Please remind your student that it is staying focused and taking their time that will bring quality and neatness to their work.  They do not need to complete or finish these worksheets, and I highly discourage it, for you do not have the music that goes with this activity.  Thank you for your support in this endeavor.  The end results will be amazing!

Web Site Tip Of the Week

Wondering what is for lunch the next day, for you are too tired to pack another lunch?  Have no fear.  Just pop online to the school's website and look under the Student tab at the top.  There you will see what is for lunch the next day and for the month.   Are you like me and don't have any cash in your wallet?  No worries!  Just go to the Parent tab at the top and go down the menu to School Store.   From there you can set your child up with lunch the next day or for the month.
It's that easy!  Hope you have a great week!
