Last week I said the unit test was going to be Monday. In actuality we are finishing up the unit
this week with landforms and the continents and then having the test this
Friday, March 2nd. I cleaned
out everyone’s theme folder and sent home all the information for this
unit. I will also be sending home a list
of items to study for the test on Monday.
The end of the second trimester is coming up in the next couple
weeks. I am in the process of collecting
any missing class work for theme to make sure we are all caught up. I will be sending home any incomplete work
over the next week to be completed before the e ...

Thank you all for making a huge improvement for getting the
children here on time so they can be lined up before the 7:55 bell rings. It has made a huge difference! Thank you for your help with this and making

The snacks are trickling in, but more is needed. Please send in those prepackaged snacks or
bulk items for our emergency snack cupboard, especially if you have not done so
this year.

Now is the time to send in those Box Tops and Campbell’s
Soup Labels to our class. The school is
having the annual collection campaign and competition. The class that collects the most Box Tops and
Labels by February 27th will get a pizza party. Help our class win the pizza party and help
our school earn money for every Box Top and Campbell’s Soup Label we
collect!

The school is collecting any blankets or winter clothes for
children or adults. It is a very cold
winter this year and anything that you have no use for anymore and is still in
good condition, please send it in so we can give it to those in need. Thank you for your contributions to such a
good cause!

Last week we finished up looking at the layers of the
Earth. This week in Theme we will be
looking at all the many landforms made on our planet by geological forces. This week is the last week for this
unit. I will be sending home study
packets on all the subjects we studied for this unit including a study sheet
before the end of the week. We will have
our end of unit test next Monday. Last
week we had another successful Fun Friday, with almost the whole class
attending. Don’t forget this week and
next, students’ need to bring their recorders for Instrumental class. Next week is the last w ...

Did you know that approximately 5 children a day need snacks
from the emergency snack supply? Old
Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard is bare and snacks are needed immediately. If each student brings in one prepackaged,
bulk item (Goldfish, Cheezits, Pretzels, fruit snacks, granola bars, etc) in we
should be good for the rest of the year.
Also, many of you have not signed up to bring in emergency snack. If you have yet to send some in, please do now! Thank you for helping to keep the children
fed and happy!

Over the last few weeks, there has been an increase in
tardies everyday. We start class as soon
as the 8:00 bell rings, so all children need to be settled in their seats
before that. That means they need to be
in the school, back packs, lunches and jackets put away, checked in for lunch,
have a seat at their desk and sitting ready to start our handwriting warm up by
8:00. Please help us be more successful
each day by being lined up outside before the 7:55 bell. Thank you for your support in this.
