BOULDER MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART Look under Education and check out Art Stop, a program that offers free, guided art activities to children of all ages. Held on the museum's front porch from 9am-1pm every Saturday morning during the Farmer's Market (April-October); Art Stop is an activity-based program that gives children hands-on experience making artwork, and helps to introduce families to the opportunities of museum discovery. $5 Adults; $4 Children/Seniors. CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO - 146 acres at an elevation of 6,800 feet, home to 750 animals representing 142 species around the world, over 30 of which are classified as endangered. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is located in southwest Colorado Springs on the side of Cheyenne Mountain, above the Broadmoor Hotel. COLORADO RAILROAD MUSEUM One of the best privately supported rail museums in the United States is right here in Colorado! DINOSAUR RIDGE A geological national natural landmark: 1½ hour guided tours of Dinosaur Ridge take you to a 100 million-year-old beach, get hands-on with over 300 dinosaur footprints, and check out the site where some of the most well-known dinosaurs were discovered. FOUR MILE HISTORIC PARK This 12 acre rural site is home to Denver's Oldest house, Four Mile House, a Denver Landmark that is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. GEORGETOWN ENERGY MUSEUM This is a fully functioning and operational Hydroelectric generating plant in Georgetown, Colorado. The museum includes exhibits and photographs and also household / consumer appliances relating the the early use of electricity. 600 Griffith Street (East end of 6th Street), Georgetown.
