The Parent Staff Council Board (PSC) is comprised of 6 parent and 3 staff representatives. These representatives are elected annually for staggered 3 year terms. The Head of School is also a member of the PSC. The Parent Staff Council is responsible for the Stargate Committees: Fundraising, Communication, Website, Technology, Community Service and Elections. The PSC also allocates the school fundraising money, organizes community building and parent education events, and works with the Head of School on supporting Stargate’s shorter term needs.
The Parent Staff Council meets the each month with a reception beginning at 6:15 p.m. followed by the meeting from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Free child care is available. Parents and staff are encouraged to attend for school updates and special events. Each monthly meeting has a theme that is intended to help the community become more familiar with all aspects of Stargate. At every meeting, a survey of attendees is included so that pressing issues may be addressed.
Community Information Meeting dates for the 2007-08 school year are: October 4, November 15, December 6, February 21, March 20, April 17 and May 15. Join us to learn more about what is going on at Stargate!
